Development land for mixed use, Ploiesti City
Upetrom industrial site is a 43,7 ha (437,269 sqm) area situated in the South East of Ploiești. It spreads on both North and South sides of the rail line that cuts through the city, though most of the site spreads south. The site currently consists of several dozens of industrial warehouses and administrative buildings totaling approximately 213,177 sqm (floorspace) of constructions. Most of these constructions are currently out of use. The site is crisscrossed by industrial rail lines that were initially used to carry out the artefacts produced on the site. An underpass going under the railway line was built in the 1950s, to help connect the two sides. Two overpasses were also used to connect these two sides: the bridge over the railway line (Democrației Bd - Bd.București, leading to site entrances accessed from Marin Mehedințeanu Str and Petrolului Bd.) as well as the crossing from the east (Lupeni Str.- Râfov Str.).
